Let them know that you don’t feel you know them well enough to rate them and, therefore, don’t feel it’s appropriate to participate at this time.
2. Who are you and why have I never heard of you?
It is possible that the person you are rating did not let you know beforehand. If you need further information, do contact them directly. If you cannot get a response from them, please contact us at contact@rochemartin.com, letting us know the name of the person who has invited you as a rater.
3. Why haven’t I received an email with my invite?
The email may be in your spam folder. Please check your spam and other folders for an email with the subject “Rater Invitation Request”
If you cannot find the email in any folders, please check with your colleague that they definitely invited you, or check with your IT department to see if the mail is being held in quarantine.
4. Why haven’t I received an invite from my colleague?
Your colleague may have been in touch to ask for your participation but not yet had time to send the invite.
Or your colleague may have invited you and the email has gone to your junk or other folders. Please check your spam and other folders for an email with the subject “Rater Invitation Request”
If you cannot find the email in any folders, and you are sure your colleague has invited you, please check with your IT department to see if the mail is being held in quarantine.

7. Who sent this?
The rater assessment invite is usually sent by the person you are rating.
In some circumstances, the invite may have been sent by the person’s Coach or your company’s ECR Administrator (in the case of larger companies).
8. What is this about?
Your colleague is undertaking an ECR 360 as part of their Continued Professional Development and would like to invite you to participate as one of their raters.
9. Who has authorised this?
It is advisable to contact your colleague (the person you are rating), as they will be best placed to answer this question.
10. Who said I should be involved?
Your colleague, who is undertaking an ECR 360 as part of their Continued Professional Development, will have decided to involve you by inviting you as a rater.

12. What should I do if I cannot answer all of the questions?
If you cannot answer all of the questions because you do not know the person well enough, it is fine to let them know that you don’t feel you know them well enough to rate them and therefore don’t feel it’s appropriate to participate at this time.
If you cannot answer all of the questions because you do not understand what is being asked, please contact us at contact@rochemartin.com for further assistance.

14. How should I answer if I don’t know about the work/life balance of the person asking me to rate them?
Your first opinion of the person and their work/life balance is usually the correct one. It is also okay to provide your best guess. However, If you feel you don't have sufficient knowledge of the candidate to answer this question, then contact the candidate who invited you to rate them and let them know you have insufficient knowledge of them to rate them on this assessment at the moment.
15. Why is there not a ‘don’t know’ or n/a option?
There isn't a 'don't know' or n/a option on the ECR because the assessment requires that you have sufficient working knowledge of the candidate to answer questions about their leadership behaviours in the workplace. If you feel you don't have sufficient knowledge of the candidate to rate them on this assessment then contact the candidate who invited you to rate them and let them know you have insufficient knowledge of them to rate them on this assessment at the moment.
